Certified Dog Trainer School

Dog Trainer Course Program:

This is an intense 8-week accelerated full-time dog trainer course designed to take the amateur to the professional level of dog training. By amateur, it is expected that you are already a dog-savvy person who has experience in any of these areas: volunteering at a dog shelter, novice dog training experience, agility, vet technician, groomer, dog walker, etc.

The course is a combination of lecture, video, demonstration, discussion, business and communication skills, role-playing and many hours of hands-on training dogs at our local shelter.

Learning Theory
Body Language
Leadership
Anatomy and Physiology relating to dog health and well-being
Nutrition
Breed Recognition and characteristics relevant to training
Obedience
Problem solving
Behavior modification
Business skills
Communication skills

Tuition:

$6400 for the 8 week training session
$800 deposit to hold your space and is included as partial tuition, remainder of the balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the training session

Additional:

Class size is limited to 5 students, which makes this a semi-private learning experience.
